Talking to this young boy we happened to meet while we were exploring the city, we learned that this playground ws designed around these bunkers painted to look like caterpillars. Because of the proximity of this town to Gaza, less than a mile away, the citizens have no margin of error when rockets start exploding around them. Te Israelis have invested huge amounts of money into protecting their citizens with bunkers and the iron dome, but families still have to live everyday knowing that at any moment they could be attacked with no warning by radical Muslims from Gaza
Interestingly enough, there are allies in Tel Aviv In which Graffiti is encouraged. However, everyone is entitled to their own tastes and the citizens respect that. One wall had a small framed sign next to the door that kindly asked in Hebrew not to graffiti their home and their wishes have clearly been respected.
Loved watching these guys work on intricate works of art for new synagogues
